A new cytometer, the CytoFlex LX (Beckman Coulter), is now available at the cytometry facility. This cell analyzer is equipped with 6 lasers and quantifies up to 21 fluorescences.

This system permits phenotypic analysis (cell-surface/intracellular protein expression, phosphorylation) and functional studies (cell cycle, apoptosis, phosphatidylserine translocation, cell viability, plasma membrane integrity, cell proliferation, cytokine production, cellular transduction, transfection efficacity …).

Its very high sensitivity allows the small particule analysis (nucleus, exosomes, microvesicles and silica nanoparticle) and detection of low level of fluorescence. The intuitive software and robustness of compensation algorithms permit to easily establish multicolor assays.
