New modality available : quantitative phase imaging !

We are happy to announce the addition of a phase camera (Sid4, Phasics) to the Spinning-disk W1 Nikon of the imaging facility.

What is a phase camera ? It is a camera that is able to observe phase shifts inside your sample, providing contrast without staining.

What is its use ? The phase imaging is convenient to observe and measure live sample morphology or dynamics. Quantitative phase imaging is able to extract informations such as volume and dry mass thanks to this camera.

How to use it ? To use it, please contact the imaging facility using the dedicated form here to describe your project.

We are deeply grateful to Marie-Hélène Verlhac and Marie-Emilie Terret for the acquisition of this camera and its installation on the imaging facility.
