Videomicroscope troubleshooting
- Switch off the Zen software
- Switch off the multisocket
- Switch on the multisocket
- Start the Zen software
- No error message is visible on the controller
Check the labelling of the slider located on the right side of the microscope, below the objective (it should be a white label with “VIDEO” written on it.
- If not, please contact a member of the imaging facility for guidelines on how to change it.
- An error message is visible on the controller
- Switch off the Zen software
- Switch off the two multisocket
- Switch on the two multisocket
- Restart the Zen software
- On the touchpad, you have to check :
- The filter configuration selected in “Reflector” (i.e. “GFP” must be highlighted)
- The excitation wavelength set in “LED” (i.e. “B” must be highlighted)
- The power of the excitation wavelength must be above 5%
- The shutter “RL Illumination” must be on “On”
- Remove and clean the slide
- Clean the objective
- Add immersion medium on the objective (if oil objective)
- Put it back on focus
- Ensure the objective you’re using is compatible with the Phase imaging
- if not, switch to another modality (DIC or BF)
- Perform a Köhler alignment
- Do not use the well on the edge of the multiwell plate, as the objective can’t reach them
